Mel Gibson Takes On New Leading Role

Mel Gibson has been trying to stay under the radar since he was accused of shouting anti-Semitic comments while drunk in July of 2006. He is coming back into the spotlight once again and will be playing in his first feature film since 2002. He has taken on the role of a police investigator in “Edge of Darkness” - a thriller that has been based off of the 1985 BBC miniseries.

U.S. Treasury Investigates Michael Moore

Michael Moore has caused trouble in the political scene once before and won an  Academy Award for it. Now he is back with yet another documentary called “Sicko”, and once again he is stirring the waters. The U.S. Treasury Dept. is investigating him after he took several sick September 11 workers to Cuba as apart of his segment in his new film.

Leonardo DiCaprio To Star In Yet Another Action Movie

People are starting to believe that Leonardo DiCaprio owns a check-list of important subjects that need to be made into films, in which case we’re looking forward to the Leonardo DiCaprio movie about Moira Stewart being too old to read the news any more. In the meantime, though, we’ll have to be happy with Leonardo DiCaprio’s most recently announced movie role, in Body Of Lies, a Ridley Scott, directed adventure.

Viggo Mortensen To Play In Spanish Film

Pan’s Labyrinth grossed the highest box office sales for a Spanish language film in U.S. history and managed to do all that before it won three oscars. And yet, the movie by Mexican director Guillermo del Toro was just one of several films (Children of Men, Babel, The Science of Sleep) that was created or carried by Latino talent that contended for the honor.
